Class Skills

Riding B+:
Most vehicles can be handled with above average riding skill. However, Lancer cannot ride the likes of Phantasm Races such as Demoniac Beast and Holy Beast-rank creatures. Vehicles that would normally be near impossible can be performed with enough effort. Lancer also receives a full rank penalty to piloting modern vehicles.
Magic Resistance B:
Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for him to be affected. This skill is of a much higher level than most others in the Lancer class due to Zhao having experienced magic often in his time. Due to his natural affinity, Lancer recieves a bonus to this skill equal to a full rank if the magic is of a "Fire" or a "Dragon" nature.


Personal Skills

Bravery B:
The ability to partially resist mental interference such as pressure, confusion and fascination. Not usable under the effects of Mad Enhancement. At this rank, combined with his magic resistance, even one of the caster class could not control Lancer's mind.
Chinese Martial Arts B:
As someone who studied and perfected his fighting style through nearly all of his life, Lancer has learned almost everything there is to know about Chinese martial-arts. At this rank there are very few heroic spirits who could match Lancer in an unarmed fight, even if they have greater strength and agility. This rank also prevents Lancer's parameters from being lowered by an enemy servant's fighting style.
Disengage C+:
A staple of the Lancer class, Lancer is capable of disengaging from any sort of confrontation so long as no magical effect would prevent this. At this rank, he cannot immediately escape from combat, but someone with low agility would find it difficult to keep a sustained barrage. He does not use this skill often, as his fighting style relies on extreme unrelenting pressure.
Instinct B:
The power to "feel" the most favorable developments for oneself during battle. At this rank, the Refined sixth sense acts almost like a delayed precognition. This rank also grants the bonus effect of reducing by half the penalties caused by obstructed vision and hearing.
Military Tactics C:
Lancer was a vassal to an accomplished military general during his lifetime, and gains advantages when fighting an army or an anti-army noble phantasm. At this rank This Servant is highly skilled in warfare. They can make accurate guesses about the flow of battle, and with time to plan can implement strategies that effectively utilize the skills of every soldier under their command.
Magical Energy Burst (Fire) C:
Lancer can imbue his weapon with flames that can melt steel through extended contact and burn flesh by proximity. Prana expenditure is fairly efficient, though Lancer will not be able to sustain this level of performance for extended fights. This skill is a part of his noble phantasm.
Protection from Projectiles B:
Grants an increased defense against ranged attacks by predicting the projectiles' trajectories through as hearing the sound of air being cut, or sensing the killing intent of the enemy. At this rank as long as the shooter is within his line of sight, he can track down ranged weapons with his eyes and defend against them. Does not apply for attacks made from super-long-range or with a great area-of -effect.


Noble Phantasms

Horizon Edge A+ (Anti-Unit):
The 10ft longspear of Zhao Yun believed to be without equal, even throughout the heavenly sea of stars. When this spear travels at high speed, it gains in strength. To speak this spear's true name unlocks its ability of ignition, and the farther the spear travels the greater its flames will be. After traveling in a six foot lunge the flames will burst of ahead of it, causing a burst of flames at the tip of the lance that flowers outwards. Lancer is also capable extending this power to his limbs, allowing him to add to his already impressive hand-to-hand skill with dangerous fire.
Raging Dragon's Flame A+ (Anti-Fortress):
The true power of Lancer's spear. When thrown at high speeds, the lance can create a powerful wall of fire that trails behind it, melting anything in its path. When thrown towards the sky the lance will fall from the heavens, the fires created forming themselves into the shape of a mighty dragon that flies towards the target before enveloping them in flames. Lancer's extreme speed and fire resistance allow him to reclaim the lance after throwing it without worry. This ability is quite mana intensive, and Lancer can only use it twice at most without assistance from his master.
White Dragon C (Support):
A favored horse of Zhao Yun, a quick steed in its own right, it is fabled to be able to run one thousand leagues during the day and five hundred leagues at night. Due to Lancer not being of the Rider class, this noble phantasm is unavailable to him.
